the fourth instalment of local talks series crosses all genres of house and have been delivered by producers from sweden, argentina, germany and finland. its a wide and complete mix of deep and thumping 4/4s. the opening track from combo loops a killer stevie sample over some mid-tempo electronic house beats…its pure shuga! tim vita, oliver gehrmann and xavier hirsch does a similar thing using a big voiced motown legend together with dark but jazzy house rhythms. < finnish house legend sasse (mood music) delivers a classic deep but electronic jam that definitely sets a deep mode. we finish off with a classic us garage track from argentinian producer tom noir, a real club filler with some serious breakdowns.

the artist occasionally known as simon rufdug mcruff al-duggleston steps up to the collectable porn wax series with two lustful, lingering looks at 80s electronica. sorta rican is all soft skanks and twinkling keys. think ace of bass but with added balearica. mv look , meanwhile, is a psychedelic storm where bold blasts of synths overlap like crashing waves on a new beat shore. mesmerising and masterful, ruf dug is one smooth operator.

small pyramids is las zach hunsaker. heavily influenced by nu disco, early house music and edit culture, zach began cutting up old disco, funk and r&b tracks for his dj gigs in los angeles as small pyramids. making the move from producing edits to sampling for original tracks was a natural progression and crucial step to developing a unique style. as a result of remixing acts like nightwaves and arohan,small pyramids gained blog exposure on sites like disco workout, tracasseur, in the deep end and disco delicious. the first small pyramids ep, another way to feel was released late in 2010 to great critical acclaim and shortly thereafter zach signed to glasgow underground.
